Services & Fees

Services

I enjoy and specialize in psychotherapy for people dealing with anxiety–especially social and general anxiety, insomnia, and for people working towards personal growth, increased life, work and relationship satisfaction.

I often work with graduate and professional students to increase self confidence and reduce anxiety and self-doubt, as well as adults of all ages who may be considering making changes in their lives, struggling with a new situation or transition, anxiety or insomnia, or who are working on personal growth and life satisfaction.

In a collaborative and compassionate environment, I would love to know what’s going on with you and work with you towards who you want to be. I mostly use a cognitive behavioral approach in therapy and I’m confident that we can identify the techniques that work best for you to create the change you’re looking for. I provide individual therapy to adults throughout California online via telehealth.

Individual Psychotherapy

I see people online for weekly, individual therapy sessions throughout California. You can join your video session from home or any safe, private place in California that’s convenient.

Typical length sessions: Weekly individual therapy sessions are about 45 minutes. This is the typical therapy “hour.”

Longer psychotherapy sessions: You also have the option to book longer, 60 minute sessions. (Private pay only.)

Intensive course of therapy: Fit a course of therapy into a short time period with multiple sessions per week. This is most often because you have a break from work or school and want to fit in a course of therapy into a short time period. With an intensive course of therapy you may book between 2-4 sessions per week for up to 4 weeks. Sometimes people also opt for intensive therapy if they need extra support through a particularly difficult time. (Private pay only.)

Fees

Session Fees

The private pay fee for a 45 minute individual psychotherapy session is $300. For a 60 minute session, the fee is $450. These rates also apply to sessions that are booked in an intensive course of therapy. These fees are due at the time of service through an online HIPAA-compliant billing system. I am happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurer to seek reimbursement for OON services.

Insurance

I reserve a small number of spots for insurance clients with Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross, which I accept through a platform called Headway. Sometimes these spots are full. My profile page on Headway indicates whether I have insurance openings.

Please know that insurance coverage of psychotherapy sessions can be subject to which psychiatric disorder your symptoms meet criteria for/seek treatment for. It is also subject to changes in your insurance plan, and may include disclosure of information about your treatment to your insurance provider. Insurance also does not pay for late cancellation/no show fees. For more information on costs when using insurance, please consult your insurance provider to learn of coverage limitations, co-pays, and reimbursement options.

Other Fees

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or do not show up for the appointment as scheduled, the late cancellation fee is $150.

You may request additional services and if we agree to them then other fees for those services will be discussed at that time. More information on specific fees is available in the Informed Consent for therapy document.

At the outset of therapy, I provide private pay clients with an estimate of expected costs based on the services requested. For more information on this, please read about the No Surprises Act on the LEGAL page.

Note on Services

I use HIPAA-compliant telehealth systems to communicate and transmit documents, and to do therapy.

I do not provide emergency or crisis services. Because I offer therapy exclusively online, it is not a good fit for someone experiencing severe symptoms or at risk for self harm.

At this time, I do not currently provide couple, family, or child therapy. I also do not provide medication management, neuropsychological assessments, disability evaluations, support animal evaluations, custody evaluations, or other assessments.
